The Team
The Payment Operations team is part of the eCommerce Operations organization and plays a critical role in enabling PVH’s Direct‑to‑Consumer growth across brands and markets. The team ensures seamless, secure and high‑performing payment experiences by combining deep payment expertise, strong analytical capabilities and close partnership with Technology, Finance and Business teams. Payment Operations is a key contributor to conversion, revenue protection and P&L performance, translating payment data and technical capabilities into measurable commercial impact.
The Position
The Manager DTC Payment Operations owns end‑to‑end payment operations performance across PVH’s European DTC channels. This role combines people leadership, KPI ownership and technical payments expertise to continuously optimize payment success, cost efficiency, risk performance and customer experience. You lead a team of payment analysts and act as the central point of accountability between Business, Product, Technology, Finance, VAT/Compliance and external Payment Service Providers (PSPs). The role is both strategic and hands‑on, with a strong emphasis on data‑driven decision‑making, dashboards, and technical problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Performance Ownership & KPIs
Own and continuously improve core DTC payment KPIs including:
Authorization and acceptance rates
Payment success / failure rates and decline reasons
Refund cycle time and accuracy
Chargebacks, fraud ratios and risk metrics
Cost of payments (PSP fees, scheme costs, routing efficiency)
Translate payment performance insights into clear recommendations and actions that drive conversion uplift, revenue protection and cost optimization.
Lead quarterly business reviews with PSPs focused on measurable performance improvements, not just service governance.
Technical & Systems Leadership
Act as the functional payments expert across the ecommerce stack, including PSPs, checkout flows, payment routing, refunds and reconciliation.
Partner closely with Product and Tech teams on:
New payment methods and wallets
PSP implementations or migrations
Market and POS rollouts
Partner programs and gift card initiatives
Own business requirements, UAT and go‑live readiness for payment‑related system changes.
Leverage strong knowledge on accounting flows (i.e. SAP FI-CO) to ensure accurate settlement, reconciliation, manual refunds and financial controls.
Payment Operations & Risk Management
Own end‑to‑end payment operations, including PSP relationships, SLAs, incident management and escalation handling.
Oversee risk‑managed services, chargeback processes and alignment with VAT and compliance requirements.
Ensure a customer‑centric approach to issue resolution while driving long‑term fixes rather than recurring workarounds.
Dashboards, Analytics & Insights
Define, build and own payment performance dashboards in collaboration with Tech, BI and Finance teams.
Monitor trends across brands, markets and payment methods to proactively identify risks, opportunities and anomalies.
Perform root‑cause analysis on payment issues (e.g. declines, outages, refunds, reconciliation mismatches) and drive structural improvements.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by converting complex payment data into clear, actionable insights.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop the DTC Payment Operations team, ensuring strong technical understanding of payments, systems and data.
Set clear priorities, objectives and performance expectations aligned to payment KPIs and business outcomes.
Coach and upskill team members to increase analytical depth, technical confidence and cross‑functional impact.
Stakeholder & Project Leadership
Act as payment operations stream lead in large DTC initiatives and cross‑functional programs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for payment operations across DTC, Tech and Finance.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gain alignment and drive execution at scale.
The Ideal Candidate
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business, Technology or a related field.
6–8+ years of experience in payments, ecommerce or fintech environments, ideally within complex multi‑market organizations.
Proven experience owning payment KPIs and performance optimization, not just operational execution.
Strong analytical mindset with hands‑on experience using dashboards and data to drive decisions.
Deep understanding of payment flows, PSPs, decline mechanics, refunds and reconciliation.
Strong SAP (FI‑CO) knowledge and understanding of how payment systems integrate with financial processes.
Experience leading and developing teams in a technically complex domain.
Comfortable acting as the bridge between business, finance and technology.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Business fluency in English (written and verbal).
