The role ensures that all dry utility submissions from third-party developers comply with AD Ports’ development standards, relevant authority regulations, and long-term infrastructure requirements
Core Responsibilities:
Review dry utility designs including electrical networks, substations, telecom systems, district cooling networks, and gas infrastructure to ensure compliance with AD Ports’ standards and authority requirements.
Evaluate load demand calculations, capacity assessments, equipment layouts, and network configurations.
Verify integration of proposed dry utility systems with existing and planned infrastructure to ensure proper connectivity, redundancy, and operational efficiency.
Issue Master Developer/Owner dry utility NOCs for authority submissions after consolidating internal and technical comments.
Coordinate with authorities such as ADDC, Transco, Etisalat, Du, and gas authorities regarding power loads, substations, routing corridors, and compliance approvals.
Assess impact of new developments on existing networks and recommend upgrades, diversions, or system reinforcements.
Review corridor allocations, utility clearances, and cross-utility interfaces to prevent conflicts between dry utilities and other infrastructure systems.
Support plot-level applications involving new power connections, telecom routing, gas supply, and district cooling load changes.
Participate in coordination meetings with developers, consultants, and authorities to resolve technical issues and streamline approvals.
Ensure all designs consider long-term operations, maintenance access, safety standards, and future expansion capability.
Maintain updated records of dry utility load allocations, approvals, and infrastructure capacities.
Prepare review reports, technical comments, and authority submission letters.
Stay current with dry utility regulations, codes, and emerging technologies relevant to utility delivery and smart infrastructure environments.
Coordinate with dry utility consultants across electrical, telecom, gas, and district cooling disciplines to ensure coordinated and compliant submissions.
Manage review cycles from concept to detailed design, ensuring quality, compliance, and authority acceptance.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or associated field. Master’s Degree or equivalent preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in Urban Planning with multi discipline approach.
Written and Spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred
Min. 5 Years local experience.
