Job Description

PURPOSE
The District Operations Manager (DOM) is responsible for ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of all U.S. sales branches.
Working closely with the National Sales Manager (NSM) and their focus on driving sales and expanding market share, the DOM’s
primary focus is optimizing operational processes, managing resources, and maintaining infrastructure across the sales organization.
This role oversees the execution of corporate strategies, ensures compliance with company policies, and upholds the highest
standards of operational excellence and profitability across all U.S. locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Own full responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of all Districts, ensuring profitability goals are met.
• Oversee U.S. sales operations, including cost controls, asset management, and leasing requirements to maximize profitability and performance.
• Collaborate with National Sales Managers (NSMs) to align budgets, sales strategies, and corporate goals.
• Develop, monitor, and enforce KPIs across all sales roles, generating performance reports for leadership.
• Provide direction to the District Operations Managers (DOMs) to ensure operational readiness and efficiency across all locations.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies and operational standards, conducting audits and branch reviews.
• Develop an overall recruitment plan to effectively maintain an appropriate headcount requirement for meeting sales goals.
• Ensure that an effective development plan is in place to prepare individuals for future leadership / advanced roles.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer experience.
• Serve as the operational counterpart to NSMs, focusing on execution and operational support for customer needs.
• Act as an escalation point for customer issues related to operations or logistics, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Assist in customer relationship management, ensuring operational excellence to enhance satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure aligned support and efficient branch operations with agreed upon SLAs.
• Establish and maintain a standard operating procedure for all sales responsibilities.
• Lead training efforts on CRM, ERP, and other tools to support team development.
• Monitor CRM, GPS, and management dashboard data to ensure sales efficiency and compliance with operational standards.
• Establish a standard of consistency for the sales office environment, including standardized equipment, resources, and training capabilities.
• Oversee distributor training to enhance market penetration and product understanding among business partners.
• Support the execution of product promotion initiatives, market campaigns, and open house events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Ability to maintain a posture in a seated position within a typical office environment for extended periods.
• Frequent travel requirements (between 40% to 50%), including at least one week per month to the North American Headquarters.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment.
• Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to supporting the needs of the business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to effectively manage and execute all responsibilities while based within the assigned territory.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced degree in Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
• Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
• A "get things done" and "do more with less" attitude, with a relentless focus on efficiency and results.
• Strong analytical abilities to aid with problem-solving and leadership decision abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain control over operational and budgetary processes and policies.
• Familiarity with SMC products, procedures, and sales strategies is preferred.
• Proficient in CRM systems and core operational applications, with the ability to quickly adapt to systems as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
