Intro summary of the role

The Product Content, Taxonomy & DAM Manager is responsible for governing product information, taxonomy, digital assets, and content quality standards to ensure accurate, consistent, and scalable ecommerce experiences across markets. This role owns PIM/PCM governance in SAP Commerce Cloud, including product attributes, enrichment rules, taxonomy alignment, localization readiness, and DAM integration, and acts as the quality gate for all product and CMS‑driven content prior to publication.

The role operates at a hands‑on specialist/manager level, combining detailed execution with governance, process ownership, and cross‑functional coordination, while partnering closely with Technology, Marketing, and Regional teams to ensure content integrity, platform readiness, and operational continuity.

What you will do

  • Own PIM / PCM governance in SAP Commerce Cloud, including product data standards, enrichment rules, attribute completeness, and lifecycle management to ensure accuracy and consistency across the catalog.

  • Maintains business rules for product attributes, filters, facets, and catalog structure, ensuring website content supports both customer needs and commercial objectives.

  • Defines and maintains standards for product titles, descriptions, merchandising copy, imagery requirements, naming conventions, and controlled vocabularies to improve quality and consistency.

  • Coordinates with product managers, campaign managers, creative, and ecommerce teams to resolve missing content, missing imagery, taxonomy issues, new SKU readiness requirements and redirects/backlinks.

  • Monitors product content completeness and asset coverage through regular audits, identifying and correcting gaps in product copy, classification, metadata, and digital assets.

  • Manage and govern product taxonomy, category structures, and classification standards to support findability, navigation, SEO alignment, and scalable catalog growth.

  • Lead digital asset governance within DAM platforms (e.g., Picturepark, Fotoware), including metadata standards, asset readiness, approval status, and ecommerce usage compliance.

  • Define and enforce product data quality standards through regular audits and pre‑publish validation, ensuring product and CMS‑driven content is complete, accurate, and publication‑ready.

  • Coordinate localization readiness for product content, attributes, taxonomy, and digital assets by working with regional stakeholders to ensure global standards are met while supporting local market needs.

  • Perform CMS and product content quality assurance by validating content prior to publication, including taxonomy alignment, asset.

  • associations, metadata completeness, and adherence to content standards.

  • Perform minor HTML and markup adjustments within SAP Commerce Cloud SmartEdit or Product components as needed to support content layout, data presentation, SEO, and accessibility—working within governed templates and standards.

  • Collaborate closely with Technology, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams to support data model changes, DAM integrations, workflow improvements, and content‑related platform enhancements.

  • Performs pre‑publish content quality assurance by validating product, category, and CMS content for completeness, accuracy, taxonomy alignment, asset readiness, and adherence to content standards prior to publication.

  • Evaluates and manages the impact of product content, taxonomy, facets, and PDP structure on SAP Commerce performance, including Solr load and ERP call amplification, and works with Technology and Architecture teams to implement performance‑safe, scalable content and taxonomy changes

  • Have good working knowledge of Google Analytics and GTM to understand opportunities for improvement

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

Must Haves

  • SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Product Cockpit experience: hands‑on experience with PIM / PCM or product content governance in an enterprise ecommerce platform

  • Experience managing product taxonomy, attributes, and enrichment rules

  • DAM governance experience (Picturepark, Fotoware, or similar), including metadata and asset readiness

  • Strong understanding of product data quality standards and validation processes

  • Experience with CMS / content QA and pre‑publish checks

  • Ability to perform minor HTML/markup edits within CMS or governed templates

  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Technology and business teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting localization / multi‑market ecommerce

  • Familiarity with SEO as it relates to taxonomy and structured product data

  • Experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, or regulated industries

  • SAP ERP experience

  • Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager
