• Lead site selection and early development phases, including land control, feasibility assessments, interconnection screening, and preliminary system design.
• Analyze customer, utility, and system needs for both BTM and FTM projects, focusing on resiliency, capacity, and decarbonization.
Technical, Commercial & Regulatory Evaluation
• Oversee preliminary engineering and technology selection with internal teams and external consultants.
• Develop and sustain project business cases, financial models, and internal approval documentation.
• Assist in commercial structuring, including PPAs, energy services agreements, capacity contracts, and utility/customer-partnered models.
• Manage permitting, environmental assessment, Indigenous engagement, and regulatory approvals in Canada in coordination with internal experts.
Project Management & Execution
• Provide leadership in project management throughout development and execution stages.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and stage-gate deliverables aligned with corporate standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, construction, legal, finance, procurement, regulatory, and operations.
• Ensure project execution governance, including detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover to operations, meeting scope, cost, and schedule goals.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and governance committees.
Stakeholder & Utility Interface
• Cultivate relationships with customers, landowners, utilities, municipalities, regulators, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders.
• Lead utility interconnection processes and coordinate technical studies and agreements.
• Represent the organization in discussions with partners, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Portfolio & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, incentive programs, and technology advancements relevant to distributed energy and microgrids.
• Contribute to portfolio planning, standardization of development practices, and enhancement of project delivery processes.
Corporate Values and Conduct:
• Demonstrate professional conduct and align with Alectra’s core values of safety, teamwork, and customer focus.
Other Duties:
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operational objectives
