Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager, Depot Operations 3, responsible for leading all phases of the operations department across several programs at Lake Charles, Louisiana site
In this role, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the Depot Operations organization and serve as OU Functional Lead for the Platform Systems Modernization OU. As the site continues to grow this role will be critical in oversite of the Depot Operations team. This role will be located onsite at our Lake Charles, Louisiana site. This role is not eligible for teleworking.
The successful candidate will drive operational excellence by leading safe, cost-effective initiatives for new equipment justifications, tooling requirements, and plant layout optimizations.
The Depot Operations Manager will be the definitive technical authority for all aspects of Operations and production execution. Optimize and manage complex systems, processes, and technologies to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. Bridge the gap between technical processes and business operations. This role is critical with new program implementation.
Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems and include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as decision maker, in partnership with program leadership, for operational activities and set strategic goals for the aircraft maintenance operations organization
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of site operations to ensure smooth progress and efficiencies
Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Review financial information to ensure operational budgets are meeting operating plan
Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy (internally and externally) to develop further opportunities within the customer community
Establish an operations organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external processes to meet objectives
Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions as related to the operations organization
Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning. Develop staffing requirements to cover multiple program requirements.
Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization

Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 14 years’ leadership experience in aircraft maintenance operations/manufacturing or repair environment and a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in aircraft maintenance operations/manufacturing or repair environment may also be considered.
Proven experience as Manager of Aircraft Maintenance Operations or equivalent position at maintenance repair facility.
Experience with long range planning related to aircraft manufacturing and repair.
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. aircraft maintenance, Scheduling, Planning, Engineering etc.).
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM).
Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
STEM Degree
Program capture execution from EMD through FRP.
A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies for change.
Experienced in dynamic environments where there may be schedule changes, design changes and validation failures.
A current Secret or higher level clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 - $187,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
