The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant funded contractual position.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • plan, supervise, and coordinate the daily field activities of field staff across the district
  • provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and performance oversight of the field team
  • lead and coordinate day-to-day project implementation, maintain workplans, trackers, risk logs, and monitor progress against timelines
  • coordinate with government departments, community partners, service providers, and project stakeholders to facilitate implementation and approvals.
  • monitor field activities, compile project updates, maintain records, and support preparation of reports and presentations
  • facilitate data-sharing agreements, MOUs, and coordination with partner organizations
  • support development of SOPs, field guidelines, training materials, and capacity-building activities for project teams
  • contribute to knowledge products, dissemination activities, and project learning initiatives
  • prioritize and coordinate with project activities to ensure achievement of timelines and deliverables
  • identify and escalate operational risks, implementation bottlenecks, and corrective actions required for smooth project execution
  • responsible for coordinating project implementation across multiple field sites within Sindh
  • liaises with government departments, community organizations, service providers, and other project stakeholders
  • supports supervision and coordination of project field teams and partner organizations
  • manages multiple project workstreams including implementation, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and documentation
  • supports compliance with donor, institutional, and project requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

You should have:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institution
  • minimum five years of relevant experience in research project management, field operations, health service delivery, or public health programmes
  • experience working with government departments, development partners, and community-based programmes
  • experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement
  • demonstrated experience managing field teams and community-based data collection
  • fluency in Sindhi and Urdu essential, with strong knowledge of the local district context
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent project coordination, planning, and organizational abilities
  • sound understanding of health systems, immunization programmes, and social protection initiatives
  • strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under minimal supervision
  • knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and project reporting requirements
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management tools
  • strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
