Job Description

About the Company

LG H&H Americas is a division of LG H&H, the #1 company in beauty and personal care in Korea. Since creating Korea’s first ever cosmetic products over 75 years ago, LG H&H has become an industry leader in Asia, before expanding our business by merging with The Avon Company to introduce and grow our robust brand portfolio in the US and Canada.

About the Role

Within a business model that sells cosmetics through B2B and E-commerce channels, the Demand Planning function is responsible for developing accurate and actionable demand plans tailored to each channel's distinct characteristics, translating business strategies into detailed, SKU-level sales forecasts.

This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align business plans, sales expectations, and market insights with demand forecasts. Given the fast-paced nature of the cosmetics industry and the critical importance of shelf-life management, this position places a powerful focus on inventory optimization, specifically preventing overstock situations that exceed market demand and minimizing inefficient inventory holding costs.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and commercially minded planner who actively communicates with cross-functional stakeholders, embraces new ideas and approaches, and takes initiative to build and improve planning processes in a highly volatile B2B/E-com market environment. This role plays a key part in translating company sales estimates, business plans, and product movement plans into actionable SKU-level Demand Plans to maintain optimal inventory levels, prevent overstock, support supply planning, and drive revenue achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Actively collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to understand business plans, sales strategies, promotions, market trends, customer requirements, and other demand drivers, and incorporate these inputs into the demand planning process.
  • Develop and maintain SKU-level Demand Plans by translating sales estimates, business plans, and product movement plans into detailed forecasts by SKU, channel, customer, and time period.
  • Analyze actual sales performance against previous forecasts and plans to identify gaps, trends, and root causes, and use these insights to improve the accuracy and reliability of future Demand Plans.
  • Continuously review and validate future sales plans with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure that forecasts reflect the latest business expectations, market conditions, and commercial activities.
  • Support the S&OP process by providing accurate demand forecasts, identifying demand risks and opportunities, and facilitating alignment between commercial plans and supply requirements.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and other demand planning KPIs, and proactively identify areas requiring adjustment or corrective action.
  • Translate changes in sales plans, promotions, new product launches, product discontinuations, and other business initiatives into corresponding SKU-level demand changes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve demand planning methodologies, processes, tools, and data, and actively participate in developing and implementing new approaches.
  • Take initiative to build and improve planning processes in a changing business environment, challenging existing practices and eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • Communicate demand changes, risks, and opportunities clearly to Supply Planning and other SCM stakeholders to support timely supply and inventory decisions.
  • Maintain accurate demand planning data and ensure the integrity of forecast inputs and outputs within ERP and planning systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in demand planning, forecasting, sales planning, supply chain planning, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business information and data into actionable demand plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to actively collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets and complex spreadsheets.
  • Experience with ERP (SAP) and demand planning systems is a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to explore new ideas, develop new processes, and continuously improve existing ways of working.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing business environment.
  • Bilingual Korean / English strongly preferred.

Our Benefits

  • Eligible for benefits as of date of hire (health, dental, vision, life and other voluntary programs)
  • You are immediately vested in LG H&H’s matching contributions to the 401(k) Plan. Company matches your contributions dollar-for dollar up to 6% of your eligible pay.
  • Company sponsored Life insurance, AD&D and Disability benefits
  • Wellness incentive programs
