Matric/ Grade 12 (required)
3 to 5 yearse experience in a retail fresh food environment, preferably within Deli, Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, or Ready-to-Eat departments.
2+ years leadership / management experience
Proven experience managing margin, shrinkage and waste control, and fresh food operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and merchandising principles.

As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Deli Department, ensuring operational excellence while delivering an outstanding customer experience.You will:
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Deli team.
Drive departmental sales, profitability, and gross margin performance.
Ensure exceptional product quality, freshness, food safety, and hygiene standards.
Deliver an inviting shopping experience through world-class merchandising and product presentation.
Manage stock ordering, stock rotation (FIFO), shrinkage, waste, and inventory control.
Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and food safety legislation.
Plan and execute promotional activities to maximise sales opportunities.
Complete all departmental administration, including scheduling, leave management, invoices, and compliance reporting.
Build a customer focused culture that consistently delivers excellent service.
Work collaboratively with Store Management to achieve operational and commercial objectives.
