This role offers the opportunity to become a key custodian of investment data, platform governance and operational integrity across the business
This role is available for an initial period of 12 Months
About the role
As Manager, Data Management & Platform Support, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity and availability of critical investment data used across multiple investment teams and affiliates.
You'll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Operations, Technology teams, State Street and external vendors, becoming the central point of ownership for investment data services and platform support.
This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of investment operations, front-office workflows, data management and platform governance.
Key responsibilities
Support the administration and governance of investment data and platform services, including portfolio start of day processes
Act as the primary contact for data quality issues, exceptions and operational issues
Manage security master and reference data processes
Support Alpha Data Platform, Charles River and related systems
Coordinate onboarding of securities, portfolios, benchmarks and market data sources
Monitor and improve data quality controls
Partner with State Street and vendors to resolve platform and data issues
Support platform enhancements, upgrades and change initiatives
Coordinate testing and implementation of new functionality and system changes
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who understands the critical role that data plays within an investment management environment and can confidently operate across front office, operations, technology and external service providers.
You’ll have strong experience in investment operations, investment data management, security master administration or investment platform support within a funds management or asset management environment.
As well as,
Strong understanding of investment instruments, portfolio workflows and investment data flows across the investment lifecycle
It's essential that you have hands-on experience with Charles River and a solid understanding of how investment data flows through front-office and operational processes
Proven experience managing data quality issues, operational issues and exception-based processes
The ability to engage effectively with Portfolio Managers, Investment Operations teams and other front-office stakeholders to resolve complex data and platform issues
Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to coordinate outcomes across business, technology and third-party providers
A naturally inquisitive mindset and a passion for improving data quality, controls and platform effectiveness
