
The opportunity
The Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily activities of Data Management Operations, ensuring robust stewardship across responsible data domains within the organization’s enterprise data sets. This role manages a team dedicated to delivering complete, accurate, and timely securities related information to downstream stakeholders, which is essential for critical reporting, analytics, and investment activities.
In addition, the Manager actively supports strategic enterprise, departmental, and team‑level data initiatives; including consulting on, optimizing, and implementing data strategy initiatives, new applications, system enhancements, and process improvements to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
Who you'll work with
The Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Data Management Operations, within the Public Investment Operations Team as part of the Finance Department.
What you'll do
Act as a data steward for enterprise security master, legal entities, market and reference data supporting Investments, Investment Operations, Risk and Performance Analytics, Financial Reporting and Compliance teams.
Supervise critical data management related operations with a focus on ensuring designated datasets are available, reliable, complete, consistent and timely.
Execute on key data related projects and initiatives, collaborating with Finance teams, Business Technology Support, and/or the Project Management Office; including analysis, testing, and production deployment activities.
Initiate, lead, and manage process improvement initiatives for activities supporting our Enterprise Data Management Platform, Order Management System and/or Accounting Book of Record application.
Develop, maintain, and recommend enhancements to key operational controls that strengthen oversight effectiveness and reduce operational risk.
Ensure adequate and timely responses to escalated inquiries from Investment, Finance or Technology stakeholders
Support talent management activities, including recruitment, coaching, training, and performance management
What you'll need
Relevant university degree (such as Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Statistics and/or Computer Science)
CFA, CPA, and/or other related Data designations
Experience in data and people management (5 years or more)
Knowledge and experience managing Security Master data within enterprise data management platforms and investment management systems; including MarkitEDM, Charles River, and SimCorp.
Understanding of database concepts, applications, language (SQL) and capabilities within an Investment Data warehouse
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and data and analytics platforms, including PowerBI and Snowflake, with experience working with Financial data sets.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience using Python and GitHub to analyze, validate, and automate processing of operational data and workflows
Basic understanding of AI concepts, with hands-on experience in using AI tools and models for business applications. Familiarity with creating effective prompts, interacting with generative AI platforms
Investment Operations Support; including the data management of equities, fixed income, derivatives and alternative assets within Investment Management systems
Relationship management with third party data vendors; including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Standard & Poor’s, IHSMarkit, FIS and Managed Account Platforms
Develop and deliver appropriately tailored presentations and materials for senior leadership and direct reports.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business relevant language for business users and senior management.

What we’re offering
Pay-for-performance with base salary and annual incentive based on individual and enterprise performance.
The Base Salary range for this level is as follows:
$105,000 - $155,000.
Individual compensation and placement of this role in the range is based on different factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies, and internal equity as they relate to the role.
