The Manager of Data Integration Services is responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure management of data across the enterprise and Cloud vendors for the Application Services team. Develops and maintains efficient and high-quality integrations (connecting data, applications and third parties) that support business processes and customer needs. Creates the strategy to monitor and analyze existing integrations to improve their performance and efficiency.

Specifically:

Work closely with architects, developers, analysts, and business partners to support the timely and reliable ingestion, management, and delivery of data through data integration tools, services and features.

Support the critical integration infrastructure and services to meet the strategic and daily operating needs of our internal and external partners.

Provide successful solutions within our application and database framework that meet the security constraints for ITS Security, auditors, and business partners.

Assist with developing and continually enhancing integration proof-of-concepts and strategies for on-premises, Cloud, Multi Cloud, and hybrid environments.

Monitor and ensure the performance, accuracy, completeness, and reliability of integrated data. Troubleshoot, resolve, and report integration issues to impacted teams and stakeholders.

Proactively contribute and take on responsibility, setting best practices for the team, while being flexible, detail-oriented and passionate about meeting the needs of ITS and our business partners.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $137,850 to $172,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience. This is an onsite position (remote flexibility at the discretion of management).



Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or Information Systems or relevant work experience, advanced degree preferred. 5+ years performing data integration work, 2+ years of project management experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.

This individual should possess the following demonstrated functional and technical competencies:

- Identify and articulate organizational trends and potential opportunities from an overall operational perspective
- Create roadmaps and proactive solutions and changes to optimize these opportunities
- Ability to effectively identify and prioritize initiatives and present supporting data
- Business domain, data/content and process understanding
- Experience managing and mentoring staff, including their professional development
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience leading multiple small to midsize projects
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Expert level knowledge of integration tools, processes, and data designs
- Strong understanding of database architecture and features, applying models towards performance and robust data integration solutions
- Experience with data modeling and mapping
- Implement and manage required security and authorization requirements for data
- Experience mentoring and training staff of all levels on data integration tools, processes, and data design
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL skills for Oracle, SQL Server, and in scripting languages like Python
- Some knowledge of BI tools for reporting, analytics, and visualization
- Strong understanding of data quality and governance best practices
- Good understanding of regulatory aspects impacting our data ( e.g. FERPA, HIPAA, etc.) and how to work within these constraints

May be required to work additional hours to meet project/unit deadlines and timeframes.
Must be available to address critical issues during off hours.
