Job Title: Manager Data Ingestion & Governance Technologies

Location: Dubai

Client: Leading Islamic Bank

Reports to: AVP Head of Data Ingestion and Governance Technologies

Employment Type: Full-time

We are hiring a Manager Data Ingestion & Governance Technologies to lead the strategic planning, development, and management of enterprise-level data ingestion and governance platforms. This role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the data ingestion and governance strategy to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead implementation and support of advanced data platforms, including:
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Data Governance Tools
  • Data Virtualization
  • Data Masking
  • Batch and Real-Time Data Ingestion
  • Cloud-Native & Serverless Ingestion
  • Metadata Management and Data Quality Platforms
  • Drive the adoption of Data-as-a-Product principles and ensure accessibility of data products.
  • Apply Data Fabric / Data Mesh principles to ensure seamless integration and data availability across the organization.
  • Manage and deploy automated data pipelines with CI/CD workflows.
  • Create datasets for LLM (Large Language Model) training and advanced AI projects.
  • Ensure integration of data platforms with enterprise systems.
  • Provide internal training and support for effective use of platforms and tools.
  • Lead the design of AI-powered solutions for business automation and insights.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments and external vendors.
  • Oversee delivery of complex projects within timeline and budget.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in data engineering and governance roles within financial services or similar industries.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as:
  • Informatica MDM, Informatica Data Governance
  • Denodo Data Virtualization
  • CA Data Masking
  • Talend, IBM DataStage, Confluent
  • Apache Airflow, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Proven track record of leading data modernization projects and building scalable, secure data platforms.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and project management abilities
  • Deep knowledge of data governance and architecture frameworks
  • Proficiency in building and managing DataOps workflows
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in data environments
