Job Description

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of organizational data assets. Responsibilities include establishing, implementing, and sustaining the organization's data governance framework to ensure data is accurate, secure, compliant, and effectively used to support business and clinical decision‑making.

Job Duties

  • Define data standards and design and draft robust Data Governance documentation and Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure governance and decision mechanisms are in place to address cross-team dependencies and compliance across the organization.
  • Work with data stewards to implement various data governance processes such as data cataloging, metadata management, data quality management, data privacy, data principles, policies, and standards.
  • Owns and is comfortable with data governance practices and data governance and management systems. Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies
  • Analyze datasets to identify quality issues and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data definitions.
  • Establishes the required governance structures within organization, including updates to senior leadership, to enforce the governance policies and standards, and lead appropriate governance working groups/forums to drive consensus, issue resolution, ownership, and agreement on data quality with respect to data assets.
  • Leads Data Governance Council and project teams on implementation, coordination, and delegation of cross-project initiatives. Develop medium- to long-term plans and execute functional Data Governance strategies.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across the organization. Monitor and maintain compliance with data governance policies and procedures.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, data science discipline or related area.
  • 10 years related work experience.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple data governance implementations in large organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex data risks into clear business implications.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics or Quantitative or Technical discipline
  • 15+ years related work experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Purview, Fabric, Synapse.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
