This role ensures that all infrastructure and application platforms operate within defined security, financial, and operational guardrails. You will act as a bridge between high-level architecture and hands-on implementation, ensuring that "Technology Enablement" provides a seamless, compliant, and automated experience for all engineering teams
Key Accountabilities
Platform Governance & Control Design
Lead the design and implementation of Policy-as-Code (PaC) frameworks to automate compliance and security across cloud and on-premise environments.
Develop and maintain centralized control mechanisms for resource provisioning, access management, and cost optimization (FinOps).
Define standards for platform health, ensuring audit trails and logging are integrated into the platform fabric.
Architecture Collaboration
Work closely with the Manager, Platform Architecture to translate architectural blueprints into scalable technical solutions.
Contribute to the technology roadmap by evaluating new tools in the Cloud-Native ecosystem (e.g., Kubernetes, Service Mesh, CI/CD tools).
Ensure the control platform integrates seamlessly with the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to enhance developer experience (DevEx).
Automation & Engineering
Drive "Self-Service" capabilities by building automated workflows that reduce manual interventions in the control gate process.
Oversee the maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) libraries (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation) with embedded security controls.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex systemic issues within the control plane.
Reliability, Availability & Operational Readiness
Ensure platforms can support 24×7 mining and production operations.
Define availability, DR, backup, and resilience standards
Integrate monitoring, incident, and escalation into the control plane
Govern RTO, RPO, and uptime for mission-critical systems
Support operational readiness for mines, plants, and remote sites
Leadership & Mentorship
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for junior specialists and engineers across the Technology Enablement team.

Maaden is Saudi Arabia’s engine of industrial transformation and one of the world’s top ten mining giants by market cap and fastest growing globally. We’re building the future of mining, creating fully integrated value chains across gold, phosphate, bauxite, copper and beyond.
Maaden’s new era of growth is at pace and scale unlike anything the industry has ever seen. We’re doubling gold production by 2030, investing SAR 420 billion ($112 billion) through 2040 and scaling world-class projects that will redefine what’s possible for Saudi mining. This isn’t evolution; it’s transformation at speed, at scale and with purpose.
Since going public in 2008, Maaden has invested over SAR 120 billion ($32 billion) to build large-scale, long-life, cost-competitive operations that deliver both world-class products and strong returns. We help power Saudi Vision 2030 by making mining a key pillar of a diversified and sustainable economy beyond oil.
We’re creating new industries, new jobs and new opportunities. With a team of over 8,000 people, Maaden is writing the next chapter of industrial progress in Saudi Arabia.
Join us as we shape the future of mining and unearth tomorrow, together.
