See yourself in our team
RBS Finance partners with stakeholders across the Retail Bank to deliver strategic financial insights, performance analysis and decision support that influence business outcomes, investment decisions and key initiatives, while maintaining robust management and financial reporting.
As part of a small, collaborative team, you’ll have broad exposure across RBS Finance and partner with business stakeholders, finance teams and enterprise data teams to deliver practical, high-quality analytics outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Deliver ad hoc analytics, reporting and project-based work across areas such as AI use cases, data governance, data quality and data asset development.
Translate stakeholder questions into clear problem statements, practical analysis and actionable recommendations.
Champion the adoption of AI and analytics across RBS Finance by identifying opportunities, shaping use cases and translating business challenges into practical solutions.
Design, build and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions that are intuitive, reliable and decision-ready.
Work with business and data stakeholders to identify opportunities beyond the immediate question and build more reusable, scalable analytics solutions.
Support strong data quality, governance, privacy and access controls across analytics and reporting activities.
Contribute to executive-ready narratives, insight packs and recommendations that are clearly tied to evidence.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Bring a mix of commercial curiosity, technical capability and stakeholder confidence. This role would suit someone who enjoys consulting with stakeholders, solving ambiguous problems and using data to create meaningful business impact.
You’ll bring:
Experience in analytics, business intelligence, insights or a related data role, with confidence moving between commercial problem solving and hands-on delivery.
Strong SQL skills, with experience working with data assets, upstream data teams or engineering partners.
Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau, including dashboard design, reporting products and data storytelling.
Working knowledge of Python or similar analytical tools, with a willingness to learn and apply new approaches where relevant.
A strong focus on driving AI Use Cases, data accuracy, governance, controls and responsible use of data and AI.
Interest in finance or financial services, with enough commercial curiosity to understand how banking products, customers and channels connect to business performance.
