Textron Systems Corporation is searching for an Information Technology (IT) Cyber Security Manager based in Hunt Valley, MD to support all Textron Systems locations.The Cyber Security Manager must be a highly motivated, self-driven team player that can perform in a fast-changing business environment. The candidate should possess natural enthusiasm for IT Security, diverse in-depth technical experience, business acumen, and strong customer service skills.The Cyber Security Manager responsibilities include leading compliance and operational functions including, but not limited to, providing best practice cybersecurity guidance to internal and external stakeholders, enforcement of internal and external compliance standards, leading risk assessment reviews and vulnerability assessments, identifying, communicating, and mitigating threats, communicating with senior leaders and other stakeholders across the Textron Systems and Textron.The candidate must have experience collaborating across multiple business lines to safeguard our information systems and execute on our programs. The candidate should also have strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles. Manage a team and develop direct reportsAble to quickly absorb and understand complex technologies, processes, and systemsLead organizational compliance to ensure adherence with Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX), NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and PCI-DSS guidanceProficient in information security domains, including policies and standards, risk and control assessments, access controls, regulatory compliance, technology resiliency, risk and control governance and metrics, incident management, secure systems development lifecycle, vulnerability management and data protectionLead the analysis, design, and implementation of products, tools and technology delivering security and control management capabilities and servicesCreates guidance regarding control-gap remediation and compensating control issues/breaksResponsible for control-related activities: interpreting corporate policies and regulatory requirementsBuild and mature a culture focused on the pro-active training and awareness to Textron Systems stakeholdersWork closely with other IT team members and end users to provide solutions based on business requirements during all phases of the development and life cycle management process of IT projectsProvide guidance on IT security incident response and remediation activities, to include working with Textron enterprise and other business unit IT security teams, as necessaryCollaborate with Textron Enterprise and Business Unit IT security teams on projects and initiatives that address compliance issues and improve our security posture across the enterprise

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security/Information Assurance or related field5+ years of IT technical, security, or administrative experience with knowledge of cyber security principles and regulatory complianceExperience participating in cybersecurity or IT auditsExcellent communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills to enable clear delivery of security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, and ability to brief to Director level and aboveAbility to mentor direct reports and foster their careersTechnical knowledge of Window and Linux operating systems, networking, and other infrastructure conceptsAbility to interpret and operationalize governmental guidanceMust be able to establish and maintain multiple prioritiesEstablished ability to learn and contribute quicklyResults oriented and fact-based decision makingAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively; possesses sound business judgmentMust be a U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a government security clearancePreferred Skills• Successful experience leading cybersecurity or IT audits

  • Industry recognized security certifications is a plus (i.e., CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.)
  • Experience with contract, supplier, and vender negotiations
  • Knowledge of AI and Data Governance

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $140,100 - $214,700 per year.
