SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Manager, Cyber Security is accountable for the management and leadership of the cyber security team. As a member of SaskEnergy’s management team, this position is responsible to oversee the management and administration of strategic and operational functions, providing expert advice and direction that aligns with departmental and corporate goals and objectives.

This focus are for this management role is: Cyber Security with a primary focus on developing and implementing cyber mitigation strategies for the protection of corporate information and assets and promote organizational understanding of the importance of cyber security.

Position Details

• Non-union - This position is permanent full time.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage and provide leadership in the design, implementation, development, quality assurance, support activities and ongoing program management of the cyber security program, including business continuity, governance, risk and compliance.

• Manage the development of the annual budget for cyber security.

• Lead the development of multi-year program maturity activities to ensure that cyber security mitigation maintain technical currency and meet organizational plans and objectives.

• Manage and provide leadership to designated team members (including employees, contractors and consultants) in order to deliver effective and efficient services.

• Establish, cultivate and nurture collaborative long-term relationships with key stakeholders including vendors, external organizations and service providers.

• Seek key stakeholder input on existing and evolving business processes.

• Design, develop, prepare and implement communications for the program which will include items such as proposals, business cases, information and decision items for senior leaders, presentations and informational items.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Degree in Administration, Computer Science or Engineering.

• Certification in Cyber Security including ABCP, CISSP, CISM or SANS Certifications;

• Eight (8) years in information technology management position with at least five (5) years progressive experience in cyber security management.

• Must have ability to obtain Government of Canada Secret Clearance.

• Experience in project management would be considered an asset.

• Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork.

• Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
