In this role, you'll:


Lead the delivery of high-quality cyber security advisory services across a complex, enterprise-scale technology environment. This is a key leadership role where you will shape secure digital outcomes and help protect essential transport systems used by millions each day.

As the Manager Cyber Advisory, you will lead a small team of cyber professionals and provide expert guidance to support the secure design, assessment, and implementation of Transport’s systems, services, and solutions.


You will:

Lead and deliver cyber security advisory services across projects and initiatives

Guide stakeholders through security assurance activities, including:

- Risk assessments
- Software and solution reviews
- Cloud and vendor security reviews
- Cyber engagement planning

Contribute to security design reviews, providing clear, risk-based recommendations


- Translate complex technical findings into practical, actionable outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement of Cyber Advisory practices in a fast-paced environment
- Lead and embed consistent security practices across a diverse stakeholder landscape
- Balance multiple priorities while ensuring alignment with Transport security policies, Essential Practices, and risk frameworks

This role operates in a hybrid working environment in Macquarie Park, Sydney supporting flexibility and collaboration.

About you

You are an experienced cyber security leader who combines deep technical knowledge with strong advisory and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will demonstrate:

- Strong experience in cyber security advisory, risk assessment, and assurance activities
- A background across cyber security, cloud environments, governance, or enterprise IT
- Proven ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, risk-based advice aligned to business objectives
- Experience leading security assessments and translating technical risks into actionable insights
- Strong people leadership capability, including developing and uplifting team capability
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
