About your team

Corporate Property Services comprises Corporate Services, Security and Corporate Real Estate. Collectively we support our various business needs around the world. Our mission is to build, operate and manage flexible, efficient, safe, productive, resilient, environmentally friendly and cost effective workplaces. We provide services such as real estate planning, design and construction, engineering, security, travel and catering.

The Corporate Services Team in Kronberg consists of a Catering, Landscape, Engineering, Security and Reception Team. In addition to the Office in Kronberg offices in Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden and Netherlands are supported out of Kronberg too.

About your role
This is a key position to assist with the management of the day to day Corporate Services function at Villa Mumm, Kronberg im Taunus. Total headcount at Villa Mumm site is 300 - 350 occupying 6.500 sqm of office space. The grounds of the Fidelity property extend over an area of almost 7 hectares. The campus includes an office building, the listed Villa Mumm as well as various other historical buildings that are part of the landscape monument Villa Mumm.

The Corporate Services Manager (CSM), reporting to the Associate Director Corporate Services (ADCS), will assist in managing the delivery of services in Kronberg including amongst others: engineering, security, landscape, reception, moves and changes, company cars and cleaning supported by full teams of personnel. You will work closely with the Catering Team who is also part of the Corporate Services department.

Staff management skills are essential and you will need to drive a culture of exceptional customer service to ensure delivery of the highest standards of service.

The CSM will work closely with key customers and should be able to demonstrate effective management skills and techniques, be skilled in the use of Microsoft systems and have an eye for detail. The nature of the post will require you to think on your feet and provide creative solutions to a variety of challenges daily.

Excellent inter-personnel and communication skills are essential and as a member of the Corporate Property Services management team, you will play a key role in building collaborative partnerships with every business partner in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Support day to day management of the facilities management operational teams, including Engineering & Maintenance, Security, Reception, Catering, Cleaning & Housekeeping, Grounds & Landscaping and Administration to ensure effective day to day services and that all buildings are maintained & served to exceptional standards.
  • Support and/or manage the competent complete of maintenance regimes and building works
  • Assist in all property and facilities management related activities, and if required cover those areas during (ADCS absence) or provide cover for other key sites and roles
  • Support the management of financial plans and costs in line with stated CPS budgets and financial goals
  • Comply with legislative, environmental, health and safety requirements and minimize commercial risk to FIL operations
  • Understand the business Disaster Recovery [DR] requirements and assist in DR and Business Continuity Planning [BCP]

Note occasional working on weekends and late evenings and travel to/work from other locations in Continental Europe and UK.

About you

  • A degree or professional qualification in engineering, construction and/or facility management or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years corporate property services experience
  • Good understanding of Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) services, contracts management and financial management.
  • Passionate about the provision of the highest standards of customer service with a proven track record in delivering excellence.
  • Experience with HR and performance management processes and critical system environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focused approach to quickly build relationships with customers.
  • Well organised and efficient with the ability to identify key issues and manage multiple, conflicting priorities on a daily basis.
  • Responsive, able to solve problems, make decisions and follow through on actions quickly with minimum supervision and with strong attention to detail.
  • Good education with excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Flexible, able to work well within a pressured, fast moving and complex environment and to work effectively in a team.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, organised and able to use initiative and prioritise in a multi-task environment.
  • Excellent computer and systems knowledge; Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German.
