THE OPPORTUNITY

Join BCI’s Finance team in Victoria, BC, as Manager, Corporate Finance Operations. This key leadership role will help shape the future of finance operations by leading a high-performing team, driving process optimization, and advancing BCI’s Workday Enterprise Management Cloud platform while supporting accurate financial reporting and a Centre of Excellence model.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, you’ll join BCI’s Finance department and lead a team responsible for key operational and transactional finance functions. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, including Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, and Procurement.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree and professional accounting designation, such as CPA or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience in operational and transactional finance processes, including AP, AR, banking and treasury, internal cost recovery, cost allocation, and reconciliations
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with experience optimizing processes, systems, and controls
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Initiative, drive, and the ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

Preferred

  • Experience with Workday Enterprise Management Cloud
  • Experience in financial or investment institution operations

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team across finance operations
  • Drive process and system optimization, including adoption of leading practices
  • Set priorities and manage competing deadlines to support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
  • Oversee payables, expense management, accounts receivable, treasury, cost allocation, and reconciliations
  • Partner with Procurement, FP&A, Tax, and other stakeholders to support accurate reporting, compliance, and alignment across finance processes
  • Ensure data integrity, maintain strong internal controls, and support business continuity requirements
  • Document and standardize processes while driving continuous improvement
  • Support financial accounting, management, and reporting of actual results
  • Adhere to compliance and risk management policies and directives

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

This role is based in our downtown Victoria, BC office. Relocation support is available for candidates relocating to Victoria.

SALARY RANGE

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $125,000 to $150,000.

The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity. We aim for actual pay to be around the market median for expected performance and the upper quartile for excellent performance. Actual salaries may vary based on experience and expertise.
