The Manager, Controls Training is responsible for leading the development and delivery of technical training programs focused on controls for refrigeration systems, CO₂ technologies, and product-specific controls solutions. This role will lead the Controls Training Program which will provide technical training to contractors, end-user customers, and OEM customers, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills required to effectively install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot company products and systems.

The Manager will design and implement the training program infrastructure to deliver standardized and customized training programs. The Manager, Controls Training will build and lead a team of technical trainers and collaborate with the Copeland project services team. This role plays a key part in supporting customer success, improving field performance, and strengthening relationships with contractors and customers.

As the Manager, Controls Training, you will:

  • Build and lead a team of technical controls trainers and strongly collaborate with the Technical Sales and Project Services team to deliver and execute the training program
  • Collaborate with management (Director, Technical Sales) to develop strategies and tactical plans to build and execute the Controls Training Program
  • Develop and deliver the training program leveraging strong program and project management skills:
    • Training program roadmap for contractors, end users and OEMs. Projects plan development and execution with report out to leadership on progress on KPIs
    • Manage training schedules, course logistics and participate coordination
    • Track and manage the training costs and track training program revenue
    • Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback internally and externally and performance metrics
  • Update and manage the training program infrastructure including the learning management system needs, resource requirements, metric creation/tracking/reporting, processes and standardization across training materials and courses
  • Maintain and update the training program curriculum and materials as products, software and technologies evolve
  • Collaborate and align with the Educational Services department who is responsible for training wholesalers and contractors on the Company’s refrigeration and HVAC systems/products and other regions in the Americas

Required education, experiences & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering and/or applicable degree
  • Five years of relevant industry, market and/or technical experience
  • Previous management experience and/or proven skill set to manage skilled technical team
  • Proven program and project management capabilities and experience
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and very self-driven individual
  • Effective analytical, coordination and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 20-30%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred education, experiences & skills:

  • Knowledge of Copeland products and services – specifically Cold Chain Controls
  • Food Retail industry experience

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
