Job Description

Manager, Contracts

Department: LNG

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: US TX Houston - Technip Office

About Us:
The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy. Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.
The Contracts Manager will play a critical role in achieving project objectives by independently managing assigned contracts across their full lifecycle, from negotiation through execution, change management, and close‑out. The successful candidate will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, legal, and finance teams to ensure contractual alignment with project objectives, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Independently develop Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bid packages, and commercial documentation for assigned scopes of work.

  • Independently manage assigned contracts from award through execution, ensuring compliance with contractual, commercial, and pricing obligations
  • Prepare decision support packages (DSP) and commercial summaries to support major contract award approvals
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and contract amendments with minimal supervision
  • Identify potential cost savings, commercial efficiencies, and contract risks; recommend practical solutions
  • Proactively identify issues, unclear direction, or gaps in information and determine next steps independently
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, shifting scopes, and evolving project needs in a dynamic environment
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable contracting actions without step‑by‑step direction.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Project Management teams to support effective and timely contract execution
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external counterparties
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and well‑organized contract records and documentation
  • Support contract‑related reporting and provide timely status updates as required
  • Demonstrate a hands‑on, proactive, “go‑get‑it” mindset with strong ownership of assigned work
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed, and travel domestically and internationally to participate in key meetings and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the public.
