Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale/delivery of equipment, materials, products or services. Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations. Requests or approves amendments to contract terms or contract extensions | Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids ***please note: this is an office-based position with a possible hybrid work option for candidates located in the greater Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area***

Essential Functions

  • Supervises all activities in the organization's contracts administration function.
  • Oversees the preparation and administration of bids, proposals, negotiations, and contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements.
  • Supervises the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provides guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals.
  • Has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations.
  • Drives negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership. 
    • Required Qualifications

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Business or relevant degree preferred
      • Additional certifications: NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Leadership skills. Contract compliance. Contract lifecycle management. Contract negotiation. Contracts management & administration. Contract review. Contracting terms and conditions. Contract management software.
      • Other: Government contracts experience preferred. Prior financial management or CAM experience.Prior Program/Project management experience

      Physical Requirements

      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

      Travel Requirements

      Up to 25% travel likely.

      Pay Range (USD)

      $75,320.00 - $139,880.00

      The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
