You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.
You’re called upon to help decision makers identify the options that best match their objectives. This is your opportunity to deliver exceptional services to the people of NSW, create innovative solutions, and foster strong partnerships.
In this role, you'll:
Manage a portfolio of complex, high‑value technology contracts across their entire lifecycle, from early category planning and sourcing through to commercial performance management, dispute resolution and renewal. You’ll lead the end‑to‑end sourcing process by shaping commercial strategies, drafting and reviewing contract schedules, negotiating terms, allocating risk appropriately and assessing value‑for‑money outcomes.
You will work closely with cross‑functional project teams to provide expert commercial advice on pricing structures, contract risk, benchmarking, probity requirements and commercial governance.
You’ll collaborate with Technology, Finance, Legal and sourcing managers to ensure commercial outcomes support business needs and align with the Contract Management Framework.
A key part of your role will be conducting face‑to‑face vendor meetings to strengthen commercial relationships, negotiate outcomes and proactively resolve issues. You’ll also maintain accurate contract documentation, records and reporting to meet NSW Government compliance requirements and ensure commercial processes align with industry best practice.
In addition, you’ll act as a trusted commercial advisor to internal stakeholders by providing clear, timely and strategic commercial insights that support decision‑making across your contract portfolio.

About you
You are a commercially minded procurement or contract management professional with strong experience leading the sourcing and negotiation of technology contracts. You are confident managing complex outsourced arrangements and high‑risk, high‑value commercial environments, and you’re comfortable taking ownership of the full commercial lifecycle rather than supporting others to do so.
You bring significant experience in procurement, commercial management and contract lifecycle oversight, ideally within a public‑sector or regulated environment. You have strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that deliver value‑for‑money outcomes.
You are adept at reviewing and improving commercial arrangements while ensuring compliance with NSW Government policy and internal frameworks. You build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, manage competing priorities effectively and communicate commercial issues clearly and persuasively.
You hold qualifications in Procurement, Law, Commerce, Business, Economics or have equivalent industry experience in contract management within a commercial environment.
Although this role has no direct reports, you bring confidence and leadership to commercial decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.
