Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact and empowering the people who make water work every day. As a leading water technology company with 23,000 employeesoperating in over 150 countries, Xylem is at the forefront of addressing the world's most critical water challenges. We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.

At Xylem, our purpose is to empower our customers and communities to build a more water-secure world. The Center for Intelligent Water brings that purpose to life by connecting customers, partners, and Xylem experts to explore challenges, accelerate decisions, and strengthen the relationships that drive progress on the world's most critical water issues.

We're looking for a Manager, Content & Experience Design to lead the narrative, storytelling, and visitor experience architecture of the Center. You'll work alongside subject matter experts, business leaders, designers, and external partners to translate Xylem's strategy and customer impact into compelling physical and digital experiences, ensuring every visit reinforces our shared mission to solve the world's water challenges.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Center's narrative framework and visitor storytelling approach, translating Xylem's strategy, innovation, and customer impact into engaging, accessible experiences
  • Identify and curate stories, demonstrations, case studies, and content that showcase Xylem's leadership across the water cycle
  • Lead development of exhibit content, presentations, digital experiences, demonstrations, and visitor materials, coordinating with subject matter experts and business leaders to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Ensure all content remains current and aligned with Xylem's brand, strategic priorities, and the real-world water challenges our customers face
  • Own content standards, narrative governance, and content approval processes for Center experiences, ensuring consistency across customer engagements while enabling appropriate visit-level customization
  • Partner with designers, exhibit developers, AV partners, and agencies to create visitor experiences that integrate physical, digital, and interactive elements seamlessly
  • Continuously evaluate and improve how visitors experience the Xylem brand, incorporating feedback and performance data to raise the bar on engagement and impact
  • Facilitate content development workshops and reviews with stakeholders, managing approvals and alignment processes across the organization
  • Serve as the primary connection between internal experts and external design partners, ensuring the Center's experiences reflect both technical depth and compelling human storytelling

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in content strategy, experience design, communications, marketing, museum planning, visitor centers, or related fields
  • Strong storytelling, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into compelling customer narratives
  • Familiarity with exhibit development, experiential marketing, or customer experience environments preferred

Core Competencies

  • Strong strategic thinking and creative execution capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High level of ownership, curiosity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively across creative, technical, and business functions

This role supports Xylem's mission to solve water by ensuring the Center for Intelligent Water tells a story that inspires customers, strengthens partnerships, and advances solutions for communities worldwide.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem, we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
