The Opportunity

Cochlear has an opportunity for a Manager, Content Development based in our Sydney office. In this role, the successful candidate will lead the Content Development team within the Regulatory Operations function, overseeing the delivery of product labelling and Instructions for Use (IFUs) and supporting the transition to more structured, data-driven ways of creating and managing content.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a global team of Content Developers and designers across Australia, Malaysia and Europe
  • Managing team workload, including prioritisation and allocation of work across multiple products
  • Ensuring delivery of compliant content in line with regulatory standards and timelines
  • Maintaining close oversight of day-to-day execution and supporting the team through frequent changes in requirements
  • Building team capability, cohesion, and engagement through a period of transformation
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders including Regulatory, R&D, Clinical and Marketing teams
  • Contributing to the adoption of structured content and data management approaches (e.g. CCMS)
  • Supporting ongoing improvements in ways of working and content development processes

About You

As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in content creation and/or localisation
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. medical device, pharmaceutical or similar)
  • Experience using or working with structured content or data management systems (e.g. CCMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
  • Experience managing workloads and delivering outcomes in a changing environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and support teams through change
  • Demonstrated use of technology to improve ways of working
