The Manager, Content and Marketing will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility and engagement of our health and safety initiatives in Melbourne. This position is crucial for developing and executing marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience, ensuring that our content is informative, engaging, and aligned with industry standards. The successful candidate will lead a team to create compelling content that promotes our services and educates stakeholders on health and safety practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content and marketing strategies to promote health and safety initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content across various platforms, including websites, social media, and print materials.
  • Manage and mentor a team of content creators and marketing professionals to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Analyse market trends and audience insights to inform content strategy and improve engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in content creation and marketing, preferably within the health and safety sector.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading projects from conception to execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, SEO, and content management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
