Job Purpose

The Senior Concept Designer supports the development of trend-driven concepts, visual storytelling, and seasonal creative direction across Catalyst Brands. Working closely with Design Leadership and cross-functional partners, this role transforms consumer insights, cultural movements, and fashion trends into compelling concept decks, styling narratives, and creative tools that inspire product innovation and elevate brand storytelling across multiple brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct trend forecasting and market research using runway shows, forecasting services, competitor analysis, social media, and cultural insights.
  • Translate trend intelligence into compelling concept narratives, seasonal themes, mood boards, color stories, and styling direction.
  • Create concept decks, visual storytelling presentations, and creative assets communicating a strong point of view on trends, color, print, and lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to align concepts with business objectives.
  • Develop styling recommendations and support creative direction for presentations, design reviews, and seasonal showcases.
  • Present trend insights and creative recommendations to stakeholders and Design Leadership.
  • Contribute to concept development processes and creative best practices.
  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution across multiple brands.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong concept development, trend forecasting, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent styling, image curation, and presentation design.
  • Deep understanding of fashion, retail, consumer behavior, and cultural trends.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Communication, or related discipline.
  • Preferred: NIFT or equivalent institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with global or U.S. fashion/lifestyle brands preferred.
  • Experience across Men's, Women's, Young Adult, or Lifestyle categories.
