Responsibilities

Annual Compensation & Reward Cycles

  • Own and deliver the execution of annual salary review and bonus processes across assigned markets
  • Ensure data accuracy, validation, and governance across all compensation cycles
  • Manage budget tracking, payout calculations, and quality assurance checks
  • Produce and interpret cycle insights (e.g., distribution, differentiation, spend) to support HR and business discussions

Job Architecture & Job Grading

  • Own the delivery of job evaluation and grading processes in line with global frameworks (e.g., WTW)
  • Act as the first point of review and challenge on job grading requests, ensuring consistency and alignment to role scope and organizational structure
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBP) to ensure role clarity and appropriate job documentation for evaluation purposes
  • Maintain governance and records for job evaluation and grading decisions
  • Support the job architecture review for the region

Market Benchmark & Data Integrity

  • Coordinate and deliver participation in external compensation surveys, including job matching and data submission
  • Analyze market data to support salary positioning and competitive assessments
  • Analyze compensation reports and dashboards on compensation metrics (e.g., compa-ratio, market positioning, pay trends)
  • Ensure integrity and consistency of compensation data within HR systems and reporting tools
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and process gaps in a timely manner
  • Support the development of efficient processes and improved use of compensation dashboards to enhance decision-making

Manager Enablement & HR Support

  • Develop and maintain C&B guidelines, toolkits and communication materials for HRBPs and line managers
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to HRBPs and line managers on compensation activities (e.g., promotion and off-cycle salary adjustments, application of compensation policies and frameworks)
  • Support and facilitate line manager enablement sessions and briefings on Yara’s compensation philosophy, frameworks and processes.

Profile

  • 8–12 years of Compensation & Benefits experience, with regional exposure across multiple markets
  • Strong experience in annual compensation cycles (salary review, short-term incentive plans, sales incentive plans)
  • Hands-on experience with job evaluation / job architecture frameworks (WTW, Mercer or similar)
  • Strong analytical capability with ability to work with large datasets and translate into actionable insights
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors preferred
  • Solid understanding of market benchmarking and survey methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to guide and influence HRBPs and line managers
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information

Additional Information

This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and governance of core Compensation & Benefits processes across Africa & Asia, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with global frameworks.

Reporting to the People Director, the incumbent will act as a key regional point of contact for C&B matters, supporting HRBPs and line managers with clear guidance, robust data, and practical solutions, while strengthening discipline in compensation decisions, and process execution.
