Job Summary

The Manager, Commissions, is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and payment of commission earnings for internal sales representatives and external brokers. This role serves as a key point of contact for brokers, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service, effective communication, and the accurate administration of commission programs while maintaining high standards of financial accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly loading and maintenance of all carrier commission statements within the commission database.
  • Reconcile commission statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper allocation of commission earnings.
  • Prepare and distribute commission statements for internal sales representatives and external brokers.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of commission calculations and payments to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate compensation.
  • Research, resolve, and respond to commission-related inquiries from internal sales representatives, external brokers, and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor commission processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate commission records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and sales teams to ensure alignment and resolution of commission-related matters.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external brokers, carrier partners, and internal sales representatives regarding commission payments, adjustments, reconciliations, and related inquiries.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with external clients, brokers, and business partners to resolve commission-related issues and provide timely updates.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support accurate commission administration and client satisfaction.
  • Manage the end-to-end premium and commission payment process, including receiving premium payments from clients, remitting funds to insurance carriers, and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of commissions and overrides to internal sales teams and external brokers. Serve as a key point of contact for brokers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), providing support regarding payment schedules, commission calculations, and payment accuracy. Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure all transactions are processed correctly and in compliance with company procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in commissions administration, accounting, finance, payroll, or a related role preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with commission management systems, accounting software, or databases preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with external clients, brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Customer service experience and the ability to resolve inquiries in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
