What can you expect from this position?

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Performance and Governance, the Manager, Commercial Intelligence is responsible for advancing data-driven decision-making across the Commercial organization by translating complex data into actionable insights. This role leads the development of commercial data strategies, performance reporting, and market intelligence capabilities to support business planning and growth.

As a key partner to Commercial, Finance, and IT teams, you will drive the integration of internal performance data with external market insights, enabling informed, strategic decision-making from business unit leaders through to the executive team. You will also play a critical role in building scalable reporting frameworks, enhancing data governance, and fostering a culture of analytics and insight-led performance across the organization.

As a Manager, Commercial Intelligence, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a commercial data strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enabling a single source of truth across the organization.
  • Design and deliver scalable dashboards, performance reports, and visualizations, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
  • Drive performance analysis and insight generation, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform commercial decision-making.
  • Integrate external market intelligence and benchmarking into internal reporting to assess competitiveness and inform growth strategies.
  • Develop and implement frameworks for delivering insights that are tailored, relevant, and embedded into business planning processes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, and IT to align data governance, definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insight-driven recommendations and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Promote a data-informed culture, enhancing data literacy and embedding analytics into day-to-day decision-making.
  • Lead and develop team members by coaching, mentoring, and driving high performance and accountability.
  • Continuously improve data, reporting, and analytics processes, driving efficiency, accuracy, and impact across the Commercial function.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, or strategic planning, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience developing and delivering dashboards, reporting frameworks, and executive-level insights.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, advanced Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business, finance, and technology teams to support integrated decision-making.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering results.
  • Experience in market analysis, benchmarking, or commercial performance management is considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and empower high-performing teams.
  • A post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree considered an asset).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer-centric environment.
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
