Our goal is to design and evolve collections strategies that support customers through periods of financial difficulty, enabling better long‑term outcomes while balancing responsible portfolio performance.
This role sits within the Collections Strategy team, a key part of the Collections Excellence Crew, responsible for shaping and executing credit risk strategies across the customer lifecycle and all retail products.
The Collections Strategy team plays a critical role in improving how we engage with customers in arrears, using data, analytics, and decisioning systems to drive better outcomes for customers and the bank.

As a Manager, you will be hands‑on in developing, analysing, and implementing collections strategies. You will work closely with senior leaders to translate analytical insight into strategy proposals and system‑based changes, contributing directly to measurable improvements in customer and portfolio performance.
Your day could look like (but not limited to):
Analyse customer, credit and collections performance to identify risk trends, opportunities, and priority levers.
Develop and refine collections strategies, rules, and analytics to improve effectiveness and outcomes.
Translate analytical insight into implemented changes within collections and decisioning platforms (e.g. PowerCurve).
Monitor performance against key risk indicators, and defined success measures, highlighting emerging risks or underperformance.
Support senior stakeholders and governance forums with clear, evidence‑based analysis and recommendations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of strategies, processes, and controls to strengthen how credit risk is managed and monitored over time.
Collaborate with technology, operations, and risk partners to support delivery of change.
What successful candidates will look like
We’re looking for an analytically strong and delivery‑focused professional with experience in credit risk or collections strategy, who can turn data into insight and insight into action within operational systems.
Additional requirements we’re looking for:
At least 8 years’ of experience in credit risk, collections strategy, or credit analytics.
Strong data analytics capability applied to credit or collections portfolios.
Sound understanding of credit risk frameworks and portfolio management principles.
Have proficiency in data manipulation and statistical analysis (SAS, SQL, Python, R or equivalent).
Experience implementing analytical insights into decisioning or collections systems (e.g. PowerCurve or similar platforms).
A quantitative background (mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline).
Clear communication skills, with the ability to present insights and work effectively with senior stakeholders in a banking or lending environment.
A pragmatic, outcomes‑oriented mindset with a focus on measurable delivery.
