The Role
As a Manager - Cloud Engineering, you will lead and deliver high-impact cloud transformation initiatives for KPMG's enterprise clients. This role requires a seasoned professional with 7–12 years of experience who can combine deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with strong leadership, client management, and strategic thinking capabilities. Your Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 cloud engineers, consultants, and DevOps specialists across multiple client engagements
- Build high-performing teams through recruitment, training, coaching, and career development
- Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of technical quality and delivery timelines
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering)
- Lead discovery workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and solution design presentations
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals
- Translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions for executive audiences
- Manage client expectations, escalations, and ensure high satisfaction levels
Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Design and architect enterprise-scale cloud solutions across Azure/GCP including hybrid and multi-cloud strategies
- Define cloud adoption roadmaps, migration strategies, and modernization plans for large-scale transformations
- Lead application modernization initiatives including containerization, microservices architecture, and serverless adoption
- Drive cloud cost optimization programs and implement FinOps best practices

Technical Delivery & Hands-On Contribution
- Oversee design, development, and deployment of full-stack cloud solutions using Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, Node.js
- Architect and implement cloud-native infrastructure including compute, networking, storage, databases, and security (IAM, VPC, encryption)
- Design and deploy serverless and container-based applications using Cloud Run, Azure Container Services, AKS, GKE, Kubernetes
- Establish enterprise DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
