40The manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and communication with hospital leaders, staff and physicians. The manager is responsible for leading multiple teams to plan and successfully implement a set of projects aimed at improving patient and staff safety. The manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an apparent cause analysis program and provides ongoing support to medical staff and other departments for monitoring the quality and performance improvement projects identified by the hospital’s patient and staff safety strategy. The manager will use data driven and evidence- and practice-based quality improvement approaches, in alignment with the department's strategic priorities, to provide technical expertise, project management, and leadership related to the development, implementation, and oversight of quality improvement plans impacting patient and staff safety. The manager will lead an internal team to execute on these deliverables aligned with the strategic priorities of the hospital addressing patient safety. Serves as the business unit partner with department director in determining and steering the operational
direction for the department.
