The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with assigned beneficial owners and institutional investors, ensuring the delivery of portfolio objectives, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and value-enhancing outcomes. The role acts as a key interface between clients and operational teams, driving portfolio performance, governance, and strategic initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Relationships, the role holder is responsible for the following:

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as primary contact for assigned beneficial owners
  • Manage day-to-day client queries and requests
  • Build strong working relationships and maintain client satisfaction

Governance & Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver client reporting packs
  • Support governance meetings and track actions
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data provided

Portfolio Performance Support

  • Monitor portfolio performance against targets
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Support implementation of agreed strategies with relevant internal teams
  • Support annual client business reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance and customer outcomes.
  • Present portfolio recommendations and strategic proposals to clients.
  • Contribute to client retention and growth initiatives.

Execution of Strategy

  • Support borrower engagement and outreach initiatives
  • Ensure activities align with regulatory requirements and client expectations

Project & Change Support

  • Support delivery of portfolio initiatives (migrations, securitisations, system changes)
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution
  • Support onboarding of new clients and portfolio acquisitions.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistent delivery
  • Maintain clear communication between client expectations and operations
  • Set standards for behaviour & performance by role modelling and advocating our values & behaviours. Promoting integrity, honesty, and accountability throughout Mars Capital.
  • Risk and Control Awareness: Displays awareness of MCFID’s Risk and Control and engages proactively with colleagues and management to identify and mitigate risk. Displays awareness of the regulatory environment in which the firm operates and proactively escalates and addresses breaches of these requirements.
  • Has responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the teams control environment, including execution of controls and the identification, recording, escalation and resolution of errors, incidents, and control issues.
  • Supports the consistent application of risk management within the team.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Consistently demonstrates that “the customer is at the heart of everything we do” we do by engaging with customers and third parties in a timely and effective manner.

Experience:

  • 5–8 years’ experience within regulated credit servicing, banking, loan portfolio management, debt restructuring or asset management.
  • Direct experience managing institutional investor or beneficial owner relationships.
  • Experience preparing governance papers, MI packs and portfolio performance reports.
  • Experience working with loan sales, acquisitions or securitisation structures would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Irish regulatory frameworks (CCMA, MARP, CPC & SME)

Qualifications:

  • QFA qualified (essential)

Some of our roles are Control Functions (“CF”) as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 If a vacancy is for a CF role, it will be indicated above. For CF roles, appointment will be conditional on Mars Capital being fully satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity Standards 2018 issued by the Central Bank of Ireland.
