Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all civil engineering design, construction, and maintenance activities for power and energy projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget constraints. - Develop and implement civil engineering plans, specifications, and schedules in close coordination with multi-disciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and environmental engineers. - Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, statutory regulations, and Adani’s internal policies related to civil construction and infrastructure development. - Oversee site management activities, including supervision of contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project safety and environmental sustainability as per Adani’s values. - Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to facilitate timely sourcing of materials and equipment while managing costs effectively. - Lead technical audits, inspections, and quality control processes to uphold high standards of construction and material usage. - Coordinate with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and local authorities to secure necessary clearances and permits. - Prepare and review project reports, status updates, and documentation to keep stakeholders informed and aligned. - Mentor and develop junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability. - Drive initiatives that promote sustainable construction practices and reduce environmental impact across all civil works. - Participate actively in strategic planning and budgeting processes, contributing insights to optimize resource allocation. - Champion Adani’s core values by encouraging teamwork, ethical conduct, and a customer-centric approach within the civil engineering team. - Utilize project management tools and software to monitor progress, forecast challenges, and implement corrective actions. - Facilitate seamless coordination between engineering design and field execution teams to minimize delays and rework. - Innovate solutions to complex civil engineering challenges encountered during project execution and maintenance.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. - Master’s degree or equivalent specialization in structural engineering, construction management, or related fields is preferred.

Certification Required

- Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent certification. - PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is advantageous. - Certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001), Safety Management (OSHA or equivalent), and Environmental Management (ISO 14001) will be valued.

Experience

12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, specifically within the power and energy industry, handling infrastructure projects such as power plants, substations, transmission lines, and related civil works.
