Job Description

China Management Office (CMO)

CMO is primarily responsible for supporting China country leadership in managing and executing HSBC’s strategy in this important market, with a central team to support the delivery of key country management and CEO / Deputy CEO office strategic priorities.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

Support DCEO to manage strategic partnership with BoCom, in areas of corporate governance, Resource and Experience Sharing (“RES”) events, business collaboration under the strategic partnership framework, connected transaction management, and other regulatory reporting.

Corporate governance

  • Maintain constructive dialogue with BoCom board office to manage Board Director obligations (meetings, surveys, self-assessments, etc.) of HSBC senior executives at BoCom and change/re-election of HSBC Directors and regulatory formalities.
  • Manage HBAP Shareholder obligation/request, including AGM and EGM, HBAP disclosure, regular FIN meetings post BoCom results release.

Resource and Experience Sharing (“RES”)

  • Assist in delivering major RES events, including HSBC senior management training by BoCom and BoCom Hong Kong training by HSBC.
  • Support special forums, working-level exchanges, and other in-plan or ad hoc RES activities.
  • Manage RES annual planning and maintain event tracking etc.

Business collaboration

  • Support onshore branch-level "1+1" working meetings between HSBC and BoCom.
  • Arrange quarterly "1+1" business collaboration meetings in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
  • Support overseas collaboration meetings, including logistics, stakeholder liaison, materials preparation, and action tracking.

Connected transaction and regulatory reporting

  • Prepare monthly reconciliation and quarterly CTM reports.
  • Support regulatory reports, including banking and insurance industry related-party transaction system report, A03 form support, and HKSE or SHSE listing report etc.
  • Maintain clear records, working papers, and evidence for recurring connected transaction management tasks.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • University degree holder or above
  • Work experience for a minimum of 5 years, corporate governance experience preferred
  • Effective communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills within the organization
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-motivated, independent and good team worker
  • Excellent in written and spoken English proficiency
  • Possess sound presentation and negotiation skills
