What’s the role?

This role sits within the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) Financial Crime and Fraud team. You’ll be part of a dynamic and global team providing end-to-end oversight of financial crime risk across AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and scams, and anti-bribery and corruption.

As Manager, Carbon, Commodities and Trade, you’ll provide first-line financial crime risk advice supporting WIB businesses operating in trade finance, commodities, and carbon markets. • Deep knowledge of trade-based financial crime, sanctions, and emerging risks, with the ability to apply frameworks to complex customer and transaction scenarios.
  • Experience designing, enhancing, and implementing controls across trade or commodities portfolios
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business and operations teams to deliver practical and sustainable risk solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and judgement, with the ability to influence decision-making and support senior management through clear risk insights.
