With properties in some of Australia’s most iconic locations, NRMA Parks & Resorts provide accommodation that suits every budget, style, and occasion – from campsites to luxury resorts. We connect holidaymakers with over 50 incredible destinations to create unforgettable holiday experiences.

Part of the trusted NRMA Group, a member-owned brand, our passionate team works together to make holiday magic happen—it's not just our job, it's in our nature.

Job Description

Not many project management roles come with ocean views, national travel and the opportunity to shape some of Australia's favourite holiday destinations. At NRMA Parks & Resorts, we're creating places where families reconnect, adventurers switch off and lifelong holiday memories are made.

Our Capital Project Manager will lead pivotal projects that enhance and evolve our growing portfolio of holiday parks and resorts across Australia. You'll not only oversee the successful delivery of projects across the portfolio but also lead and support a team of Project Managers who share your passion for creating exceptional places and experiences.

Based in our Coolangatta Support Office, this newly created role offers the chance to leave a lasting mark on the guest experience, delivering projects that transform spaces, improve assets and help bring our vision to life. If you love taking projects from concept to completion and want to see the real-world impact of your work, this could be your next great adventure.

What you will do:

  • Lead the delivery of capital works projects across our parks and resorts portfolio from planning through to completion.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and support to a small team of Project Managers, helping them deliver successful outcomes while fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, contractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Partner with operational teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests.
  • Conduct site visits across Australia to monitor progress, solve problems and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive quality, compliance and governance across all stages of project delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships with park leaders and key stakeholders to align project delivery with operational and strategic priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve assets, enhance guest experiences and support future growth.

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading capital works, construction, refurbishment, facilities, infrastructure or property projects.
  • Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, develop and motivate a team while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management capability and confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, budgets and project schedules.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, engage and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • A commitment to safety, quality and delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • The flexibility to travel across our national network of parks and resorts.

This is more than a project management role. It's an opportunity to help shape destinations enjoyed by millions of guests each year while working alongside passionate people who love what they do.

About The NRMA

For over 100 years, the NRMA has existed to make the journey better for everyone in the community. In everything we do, we aim to give back, always adding more value to Membership while working towards a better, shared future.

Having over 3.2 million Members, we’re Australia's largest member-owned organisation, and have grown into one of the country's largest tourism, leisure, and travel businesses, with investments in accommodation, car hire, ferries, experiences and more. We’ve done this by putting our people, Members and customers at the centre of everything we do to deliver great experiences – something that has always set us apart.

From our earliest Patrols, we’ve been passionate about helping people on the road, but we now also help millions on our waterways, on their holidays, and on all of their journeys. Tales of our legendary service embody the sense of mateship and levels of care that the people of our nations have become known for the world over.

As a workplace, we foster a culture of innovation, growth and wellbeing – one that respects and celebrates diversity in all its forms, creating an environment where all people can feel they truly belong and thrive. We do this because we know that, when put together, our individual talent and uniqueness is what makes us great at what we do. We do this because it makes our place a great place to be.
