Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Job Role:

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making within the Spares Business Unit (SBU). The role involves translating business requirements into actionable insights, enabling process optimization, and supporting strategic initiatives aligned with business goals.

  • Act as a bridge between business leadership and data/technology teams
  • Drive MIS, analytics, and reporting frameworks for senior leadership and department heads
  • Enable key performance metric tracking (Fill Rates, order to delivery, Sales, Back Orders, etc.)
  • Support strategic initiatives and operational improvements in line with business deliverables

A. Business & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Business Head, all Dept. heads and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
  • Facilitate discussions and workshops for requirement gathering
  • Act as a single point of contact for analytics and reporting needs

B. SBU Control Tower: MIS & Reporting Management

  • Design, develop, and maintain Daily/Weekly/Monthly MIS dashboards
  • Track key business KPIs such as:
    • Sales vs Budget
    • First Fill Rate (FFR)
    • Order-to-Delivery (O2D)
    • Back Order & Gap Analysis
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reports

C. Data Analytics & Insights

  • Perform deep-dive analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Convert raw data into actionable business insights
  • Support management decision-making through structured analysis
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement

D. Systems & Dashboard Development

  • Develop dashboards using Power BI / Qlik / BigQuery
  • Support system integrations (SAP, ERP, Data Lake)
  • Design scalable data architecture for reporting needs

E. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Map and analyse existing processes to identify improvement areas
  • Drive automation initiatives for MIS and reporting workflows
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within SBU

F. Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain documentation for:
    • MIS logic
    • Master data definitions
    • Reporting frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with data and reporting standards

G. Presentation & Communication

  • Prepare management presentations (Monthly / Quarterly / Annual)
  • Present insights and business recommendations to leadership
  • Support strategic reviews and performance meetings

H. System and Process Efficiency

  • Analyse end-to-end business processes across functions to identify non-value-added (NVA) tasks.
  • Lead process re-engineering initiatives to eliminate redundancies, manual interventions, and inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with IT and digital teams to design and deploy automation solutions.
  • Replace manual reporting with real-time dashboards to improve decision-making speed.

Education Qualification

BE / B.Tech / MBA

General Experience

Functional Skills

  • Strong analytics and problem-solving capability
  • Experience with SAP, ERP, supply chain systems
  • Expertise in Power BI, Excel Automation, Data Modelling
  • Understanding of business operations (sales, supply chain, inventory)

Technical Skills

  • Data visualization & dashboard design
  • Data extraction and transformation
  • Knowledge of BigQuery / SQL (preferred)

Behavioural Skills

  • Strong communication & stakeholder management
  • Structured thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with leadership and cross-functional teams

Critical Experience

Systems/ SAP knowledge:

SAP / Excel / Access / Power BI / Google Cloud

Any Additional Knowledge:

Knowledge on Qlik, SQL, LLM platforms: Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Google Vertex, Power BI (AI integration)
