• This role is part of the Business Partner Performance Team within the Airport Operations Division, focused on driving operational excellence through strategic vendor management.
• Leads a cross-functional team responsible for optimizing vendor partner performance across key service areas, including cabin cleaning, baggage service operations, passenger mobility assistance, security, and ground handling.

What you'll do

• Drives vendor performance strategy by setting clear expectations, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring alignment with American Airlines’ operational goals.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and airport leadership to implement and sustain performance improvement initiatives.
• Champions service excellence by embedding American Airlines standards into vendor operations and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Partners strategically across departments—including Procurement, Safety, Tech Ops, Performance Assurance, Legal, HR, Corporate Real Estate, Government Affairs, Security, In-Flight, IT, and Finance—to deliver integrated solutions.
• Facilitates executive-level engagement through quarterly business reviews, ensuring alignment on priorities and progress tracking.
• Serves as a key change agent, influencing and collaborating with senior leadership to drive organizational transformation and operational improvements.
• Delivers impactful, data-driven insights and direction through clear and concise presentations that enable informed decision-making and accelerate change.
• Demonstrates flexibility and mobility with the ability to travel to support strategic initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• 5 years Airport experience
• Knowledge of industry regulations

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience


  • ​Knowledge of industry regulations, particularly in the disabilities arena

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of airport operations
  • Knowledge of American Airlines’ policies, products, and performance as these relate to disability and unaccompanied minor handling
  • Knowledge of American Airlines’ third party suppliers
  • Proven project management skills
  • Superior presentation skills
  • Ability to fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable

Language/Communication Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization
