Job Description

The Manager will support the Head of Business Management in executing strategic initiatives, managing performance, and driving transformation projects. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with the corporate strategy and optimizing business processes for sustained success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support Strategy Formulation and Execution:

    • Assist in developing and refining the corporate vision and strategy.

    • Collaborate with the Head to manage strategic planning processes and initiatives.

  • Performance and Transformation Management:

    • Monitor and report on the execution of strategic plans and transformation projects.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support change management efforts.

    • Analyze macroeconomic factors, competitive dynamics, and organizational capabilities to inform strategic decisions.

    • Prepare reports and presentations for various stakeholders, including the board of directors, global/regional offices, local senior leadership, regulators, external parties and so forth.

  • Project Management:

    • Lead specific strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and the Head of Business Management.

    • Support the development of strategic communication plans in partnership with the communications function.

  • Support M&A and Partnerships:

    • Assist in the evaluation and execution of M&A activities and strategic partnerships.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

    • Identify and implement best practices in strategic planning and performance management across the organisation.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of related working experience in strategic planning, performance management, project management, process improvement and change management

  • Tertiary education in business, management, actuarial science or a related field.

  • Technical proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think out-of-the-box.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate vision, possibilities, and outcomes.
  • Strong business knowledge and experience in strategic planning, performance management, and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong sense of ownership, committed, resourceful, reliable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Sense of urgency, attention to details, and the ability to multi-task effectively to organize, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Dedicated to customer satisfaction with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Good understanding of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements and developments.
