[What the role is]

The IMDA Accreditation and Spark programmes seeks to nurture and grow promising Singapore-based digital technology companies of different growth stages. If you have the interests and passion for innovative and emerging digital technologies and can communicate with senior executives of high growth digital tech startups, we’d like to have a chat with you.
You will be part of the Enterprise & Ecosystem Development, a dynamic team made up of independent and self-motivated individuals, that works closely with senior executives of digital tech startups to bring them into the Accreditation and Spark programme, perform due diligence on the company to assess their credentials, and support their growth journey through developing new local and international market opportunities that will eventually help them establish track records.
You will also collaborate with both local and international industry partners, Government agencies and internal IMDA divisions to support the growth of these companies in the Accreditation and Spark programmes, with the aim to drive Singapore’s digital transformation using best in class local-based technology solutions.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage effective channels to source and attract innovative and high growth technology product companies into programme
• Screen, assess and recommend potential startups to be shortlisted for the Accreditation/Spark programs through conversations with key company stakeholders.
• Lead the overall due diligence process (technical, financial, and business operations) with the company and colleagues from other teams, and complete commercial and operations evaluation on the company.
• Work with various team leads within the division to ensure all potential programme and company risks are assessed and mitigated during the evaluation and throughout the programme’s duration
• Manage on-going interactions with C-suite of portfolio identify potential strategic involvement of IMDA and monitor companies’ growth.
• Work with Accredited and Spark companies to co-develop strategies to support their growth plans, pitch to potential investors, facilitation of strategic partnerships, and raising their profile in industry
• Collaborate and develop partnerships with the industry, government agencies and internal departments to create impactful initiatives to meet programme objectives.
• Support planning and reporting activities for division update to senior management

Requirements:

• Minimally 5 years of experience in ICT industry with experience in partner management, pre-sales and/or consultancy.
• Preferably with at least 3 years in a VC / Consulting firm / Corporate Innovation Lab environment
• Strong technical knowledge and/or domain expertise in forefront technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity and Metaverse/Web3.
• Experience in business consulting would be advantageous
• Self-motivated individual with high degree of personal initiative, flexibility and positive attitude to adapt to the accreditation’s dynamic scope of activities
• High EQ with the ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders, CXOs to be able to influence decisions and engage in strategic discussions
• Plugged into the ICT tech, start-up and/or R&D ecosystem in Singapore
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Commercially-savvy
