TerraCycle Commercial delivers large-scale recycling solutions for businesses and facilities. Combining the expertise of multiple acquired companies, this division manages universal and regulated waste streams—including lighting, batteries, e-waste, and PPE.

Job Overview

TerraCycle is looking for a talented candidate with experience in multi-industry sales to join the Business Development team at TerraCycle Regulated Waste (TCRW) in Aurora, IL. This manager will be responsible for developing new business partnerships and cultivating strong client relationships with organizations seeking universal waste management and hard-to-recycle material solutions. This includes identifying opportunities for facility recycling programs, advancing sustainability initiatives, increasing landfill diversion, and helping clients reduce their environmental impact through innovative and responsible waste management solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct prospect research and identify key decision-makers across target industries
• Perform high-volume outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage potential clients
• Maintain and update lead databases, ensuring accurate tracking of outreach efforts
• Track and report outreach metrics to measure effectiveness and optimize approaches
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop outreach strategies and improve engagement
• Research and evaluate potential new partners in Facilities and Maintenance, Property Management, Manufacturing, Government, Medical, Schools and Universities Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
• Prepare convincing presentations and sales proposals tailored to prospects' needs
• Manage company and client expectations
• Collaborate with client partners throughout the sales cycle

Requirements

Requirements/Skills

• 3-5 years pertinent sales or business development work experience
• Experience working in the CPG or other professional service industries (i.e. advertising, consulting, accounting, law)
• Excellent research, writing and communication skills
• Project management, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze data and translate results into continuous improvement
• Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Ability to work autonomously
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint & Excel and experience using CRM systems
• An entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
• A creative mind with problem solving skills
