Location:

Elevations Credit Union- Broomfield Basecamp

Hybrid: Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.

Objective:

This role leads a team of Business Lending Administrators to execute operations activities within the commercial and business lending functions. The Manager, Business and Commercial Loan Operations serves as a leader and coordinator of all lending origination, construction loan administration, and loan servicing functions. This position also serves as an internal escalation point to handle issues for Loan Officers and members. The successful candidate can execute a wide range of commercial lending operational processes, independently with pressing time frames. The Business and Commercial Loan Operations Manager will schedule closings and ensure efficient loan processing to meet the needs of business and commercial loan officers. The role will serve as the subject matter expert for projects and system updates for the loan closing document system, and will oversee the loan portfolio by setting up all ongoing reminders for financial requirements, covenant tracking, annual reviews, tracking compliance with ECU policies, portfolio renewals, covenant tracking, and ongoing loan requirements such as taxes and insurance. The Business and Commercial Loan Operations Manager will also ensure Member Business Loan files are maintained in electronic repository and that the files are complete and properly categorized.

Essential Functions include:

  • Manages the loan origination process and directs the business and commercial lending operational functions to facilitate successful and timely closings for our members.
    • Prepares, reviews and coordinates loan documents with all appropriate personnel, including interaction with external legal counsel to validate and review documents.
    • On-boards loans and loan transactions onto the Credit Union’s core banking system.
    • Files accurate collateral liens to ensure appropriate lien positions.
  • Manage and develop a business and commercial operational staff to ensure efficient operations, growth in role, accurate loan documentation, and loan servicing consistent with any loan covenants.
  • Partners with business and commercial lenders, analysts and loan administrators to enhance workflows, communication and member experience related to business and commercial loans.
  • Manages business and commercial loan documentation processes, systems and related staff behaviors to ensure consistent quality, document completion, and collateral lien perfection.
  • Updates loan documentation system as needed to ensure compliance with state and federal law.
  • Produces and distributes business and commercial loan production reports, exception reports, and officer portfolio management reports to stakeholders in the organization.

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

  • 6+ years of commercial loan administration and operational experience
  • Expert understanding of consumer and commercial construction loan documents, enforcement, and related regulations.
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Word and Excel and other various PC applications.
  • Self-starter with the willingness to teach and take charge of new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multi-task.
  • Excellent customer service with superb verbal and written communicational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.

Preferred Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any related discipline
  • Experience and knowledge of Symitar-Episys bank operating system
  • Experience with Laser Pro documentation
  • Additional compliance training

Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full-time / 40 hours per week

Compensation Information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between$95,796 and $119,745 annual salary, plus annual bonus.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
