About your team

The Retirement Capability team is responsible for designing and delivering the complete pension retirement journey for our customers—across both Workplace Investing and Personal Investing—as well as supporting our Financial Advisors. Our goal is to enhance the customer experience by simplifying the withdrawal process and offering flexible engagement options, including digital, phone, and paper channels tailored to individual preferences. A key part of our mission is to make the retirement journey intuitive and accessible, helping members better understand the complexities of pensions. By doing so, we support informed decision-making, encourage product crossover, and actively drive client retention and lifetime engagement.

About your role
As an experienced Manager with a specific alignment to the Retirement capability, you will play a key role working closely with the Retirements Capability Product Owner to identify opportunity areas, define, facilitate, and lead the implementation of solutions. You will also work closely with senior business leaders and wider capability and platform teams to deliver the strategic goals of the Retirements capability through innovative, efficient and scalable solutions. Strategic alignment and customer centricity

  • Act as a key enabler between strategy and delivery, ensuring the Retirements capability strategy is effectively translated into actionable initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to ensure all initiatives are aligned to strategic objectives and deliver measurable business value.
  • Contribute to shaping the Retirements capability’s future-state vision, ensuring alignment with enterprise direction and platform strategy.
  • Incorporate insights from wider market and industry trends to strengthen and future‑proof capability outcomes.
  • Leverage customer feedback and behavioural insights (e.g., Medallia, Adobe Analytics, Decibel) to identify pain points, unmet needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Embed customer outcomes at the core of solution definition and prioritisation.

Business process design and optimisation

  • Identify and define current and future business capabilities required to meet customer, regulatory, and operational needs.
  • Map end‑to‑end processes to capabilities to provide clarity on ownership, dependencies, and value flow.
  • Assess inefficiencies, risks, and bottlenecks within existing workflows.
  • Collaborate with operations and technology teams to redesign processes that are efficient, scalable, compliant, and customer focused.

Crossfunctional collaboration and enablement

  • Act as a trusted intermediary between business, operations, and technology teams, ensuring shared understanding of priorities, requirements, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and forums to drive alignment and informed decision‑making.
  • Identify interdependencies across initiatives, ensuring technology delivery aligns with operational and capability needs.
  • Support integrated planning across teams to reduce delivery risk and duplication.

Solution design and governance

  • Work with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Process Analysts to define a clear, prioritised roadmap of capabilities required to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ensure solutions are designed in line with regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, and internal governance standards.
  • Proactively identify and manage solution risks, issues, and impacts.

Value realisation and outcomes

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define meaningful KPIs and success measures aligned to customer, operational, and financial outcomes.
  • Support ongoing tracking of benefits to ensure initiatives deliver their intended value and inform continuous improvement.

You will be required to effectively influence and assist key stakeholders, support multiple change initiatives, and help manage the backlog within the Retirements capability. A willingness to take on new challenges, collaborate and share knowledge freely with colleagues globally is also critical to success.

This role will face off to senior stakeholder in the organization, so the successful candidate will therefore be personable, articulate, and have strong facilitation skills to help drive forward great client outcomes and support the Retirements capability.

About you

  • 10–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with demonstrated capability operating at a managerial level.
  • Proven leadership capability, including coaching and developing Business Analysts, setting clear expectations, and fostering a high‑performing, inclusive team culture.
  • Leads by example, building trust through integrity and demonstrating bold, curious, and compassionate leadership behaviours.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate organisational and capability goals into actionable initiatives and operating models.
  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end business processes, with a track record of identifying inefficiencies and delivering scalable, compliant improvements.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to assess data, processes, and systems to uncover gaps and design effective solutions.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and how business capabilities, processes, and technology align across current and future states.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and non‑technical concepts across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops and driving alignment across cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience working within Agile, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma, or hybrid delivery environments, with adaptability and a continuous‑learning mindset.
  • Good understanding of financial services organisations, markets, and products, ideally within Retirement or Wealth domains.
