About the Role

The Manager of the Breast Imaging Center, in cooperation with the Executive Director(s) of Cancer Services and Radiology, is accountable for planning, organizing and administratively directing the daily clinical and business operations of the Breast Imaging Center. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Center, including providing oversight of the front-end staff and technical staff which includes human resource functions, hiring, coaching, performance appraisals and ensuring clinical competency. The Manager will develop and manage the operational budget, purchasing, policies and procedures, contractual agreements, and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies. This position will take an active role in the preparation for the upcoming NAPBC accreditation process. The Manager will maintain a collaborative relationship with the SAVE grant program to facilitate grant commitments and will maintain involvement in community outreach and events related to breast screening and breast cancer. This position will collaborate with the Manager Mobile Health Program and oversee the staffing and competency of the mobile screening staff. Ensures the effective hand-off to the Breast Imaging Center for further care of patients. This position will also provide leadership for the genetic high-risk program for breast cancer.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Accountable for planning, organizing, and directing the daily clinical and business operations of the Breast Imaging Center in partnership with the Executive Director(s) of Cancer Services and Radiology
  • Oversees day‑to‑day center operations, including leadership of front‑end and technical staff
  • Manages human resource functions such as hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and ensuring ongoing clinical competency
  • Develops and manages the operational budget, purchasing processes, and contractual agreements
  • Establishes and maintains policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies
  • Plays an active role in preparation for and attainment of NAPBC accreditation
  • Maintains a collaborative relationship with the SAVE grant program to support grant obligations
  • Leads and participates in community outreach and events focused on breast screening and breast cancer awareness
  • Collaborates with the Manager of the Mobile Health Program and oversees staffing and competency of mobile screening personnel
  • Ensures effective patient hand‑offs from mobile screening to the Breast Imaging Center for continued care
  • Provides leadership and oversight for the genetic high‑risk breast cancer program

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification in Mammography
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience required
    • Includes at least two (2) years of clinical patient care experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience required (three (3) years preferred) as a lead or supervisor in breast imaging or radiology
  • Demonstrated experience managing direct reports and overseeing departmental or divisional operations
  • Proven ability to lead a team while maintaining optimal efficiency and effectiveness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and resolve multiple competing priorities effectively

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is VS/31S:$106,305- $159,457 per year, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
