Job Description

The Brand Manager is expected to deliver the brand vision and critical business objectives across sales channels for a collection of wineries within the International marketing division. The Brand Manager will recommend and execute strategic initiatives to address market opportunities, maximize the businesses and build brand equity. This role will also be responsible for managing the effectiveness of the cross-functional partners by maintaining a high degree of motivation, setting clear goals and milestones, and assisting with prioritizing key initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute the annual and long-term strategic plans
  • Directly manage Brand Marketers, including Associate Brand Manager
  • Manage P&L of assigned businesses proactively, driving strategies and tactics leading to sequential revenue and contribution growth
  • Direct annual sales forecasts and planning by channel, global allocations, inventory management, and trend analysis
  • Responsible for all pricing and programming
  • Manage all innovation, packaging development and execution
  • Collaborate across all key departments to build and maintain strong relationships (Winemaking, Creative, Direct to Consumer, Sales, Public Relations and Digital)
  • Deliver presentations frequently to sales, senior management, and ownership
  • Manage all strategy and planning for in-market activity, including winemaker and spokesperson market work
  • Communicate brand positioning, key selling points, and new initiatives to support teams
  • Align with sales to develop, implement, and evaluate field sales programs
  • Act as a brand ambassador and host at events, wine dinners, trade events, distributor presentations, and account visits
  • Present to sales, senior management, and ownership to secure approval for large and small initiatives

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: Associate Brand Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience managing and growing brands, including the following:
    • 3+ years of direct P&L management and responsibility
    • 2+ years of managing and developing direct reports
  • Track record of successful brand growth
  • Experience in building strategic brand plans that drive profitable growth
  • Advanced understanding of various pricing strategies across multiple markets and channels
  • Advanced understanding of common programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

WAGE TRANSPARENCYThe annual salary for this role ranges from $120,000 - $140,000. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
