NBC News is seeking a Manager, Brand Marketing to join the NBC News Marketing team supporting some of the most trusted and recognizable brands in news media. This team leads consumer marketing strategy and campaigns across the NBC News portfolio, including NBC Nightly News, NBC News NOW, Meet the Press, NBC News’ digital products, and breaking news and special programming initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in core marketing and promotional disciplines. They are a strategic thinker, strong communicator, cross-functional collaborator, and highly organized operator who thrives in a fast-paced news environment. This individual will help drive brand visibility, audience engagement, and promotional impact across linear, streaming, digital, social, audio, and off-channel platforms.

Responsibilities

Brand Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Develop and execute consumer marketing strategies and campaigns for the NBC News brands
  • Partner with editorial leaders and producers to identify short and long-term promotional priorities
  • Build strategic marketing plans and creative briefs aligned with brand objectives and promotional priorities
  • Manage campaign timelines, approvals, stakeholder communications, and executional workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Integrated Media & Growth, Creative, PR, Audience Development, Distribution, Affiliate Marketing, and Social teams to execute cohesive campaigns
  • Identify innovative opportunities to elevate NBC News brands and franchises across platforms
  • Support tentpole coverage and special programming initiatives including elections, breaking news, and major live events

Creative Development & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end execution and delivery of campaign assets across platforms and partners
  • Write and manage creative briefs to guide campaign development
  • Partner with internal creative teams to develop compelling marketing assets and messaging
  • Provide strategic and editorial feedback throughout the creative process
  • Help prioritize promotional opportunities across the portfolio
  • Maintain strong communication and alignment among stakeholders

Operational Ownership

  • Serve as a central point of coordination across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain campaign tracking documents, timelines, and prioritization systems
  • Help establish best practices and operational efficiencies for the Brand Marketing team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in brand marketing, media marketing, entertainment marketing, streaming, news, or agency environments required
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, adapt quickly to shifting deadlines, and respond effectively in breaking news situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours when necessary, including breaking news and major live events

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range $75,000 - 105,000 (bonus eligible)
